Montezuma Well
Located about 11 miles northeast is a giant
limestone sinkhole, 470 feet wide and 55 feet deep, with
more indian cliff dwellings. Still visible are irrigation ditches
dug in the 13th century. The limestone rock in this area is
full of underground caverns and streams. One such cavern collapsed
and created this giant sinkhole.
