This historic route takes you along the floor of the scenic Upper Verde River Canyon which includes such highlights as the Verde Canyons towering crimson cliffs, crossing old-fashioned railroad trestles, Dark 680-foot tunnel and final terminus at deserted Perkinsville Ranch.

All passengers have access to fantastic open-air viewing cars and the trip features strolling musicians and informative narration. While on board this 4-hour ride, you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the views.

Departs from Sedona on a fully narrated 11-hour tour of the Sonoran desert heading to Clarkdale where you will stop for lunch at their famous depot. Then climb aboard for your panoramic 4-hour rail experience to Perkinsville through the Verde River Canyon. This distinctive geographical area includes desert rock faces, crimson cliffs, and towering bridges accessible only by rail.

4-hour scenic excursion through the North Verde River Canyon and Sycamore Wilderness Area. Train takes you pass Sinagua Indian ruins and desert flora and fauna. Keep a sharp eye out for bald eagle, blue herons and deer.

This train is pulled by a vintage FP7 diesel locomotive of which only 12 working models still exist. Accomodations range from luxurious First Class cars to open touring cars.
