Atlanta Georgia Temple Tour Atlanta Georgia Temple

This sacred building was completed in 1983 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the Mormons. It stands alongside of the Turner McDonald Parkway (US-19) just north of metropolitan Atlanta. It's landmark feature is the magnificent stain glass of the spire that glows at night.

Members of the church consider the temple to be a literal ‘house of God’ comparable to the ancient Israelite temple where, as recorded in Bible, God spoke with Samuel. Emphasizing this belief, the building’s façade bears the inscription “Holiness to the Lord – The House of the Lord.”
