    Meal Plan Merit Badge

Aids for the Boy-Led Scout Troop
Our Scout Meal Plan is designed to help scouts easily work the cooking requirements for Cooking Merit Badge, Camping Merit Badge and related rank advancement requirements for the Trail To 1st Class Scout.

Use this guide to plan tasty boy scout meals, including costs, ingredients and equipment needed. Save completed meal plans to help track your progress.

Learn principles of cooking that can be used both at home or in the outdoors. Scouts who earn this badge will learn about food safety, nutritional guidelines, meal planning, and methods of food preparation.

    Scouts Go Green

Stop printing out and lugging monster merit badge worksheets to your campouts. Prepare and save your meal plans on your iPad. Store completed meal plans in a digital archive to show your scout leaders later.

    Troop Meal Plans

As of 01-Jan-2014, the Cooking Merit Badge became a required for Eagle Rank. Many scout troops now run a three month meal rotation for their outdoor events (troop meals, patrol meals, trial meals) to give their scouts abundant opportunities to pass off meal prep requirements.
