Montana High Adventure Base [MOHAB]
Theodore Roosevelt Scout Ranch
Boone and Crockett Club
The Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch (TRMR) or The Ranch as it is affectionately called by Boone and Crockett Club members is 6,000 acres that lies in the foothills of the east slope of the Rocky Mountains west of Dupuyer, Montana. The property abuts over one million acres of national forest and Wilderness. This area contains habitat for elk and mule deer. Additionally, whitetail deer, cougar, and grizzly and black bears regularly use this property and bighorn sheep and Rocky Mountain goats occur in adjacent national forest lands.
For scouters looking for a more adventurous summer camp experience, look no further than K-M High Adventure, an intense canoe trip along the Missouri River, or an extreme backpacking experience based out of K-M. This high adventure program is geared towards older Scouts who are looking for a true adventure. Participants will hike 15-30 miles over the course of the week in the North Moccasin Mountains. Each trek is accompanied by a trained guide, who will educate Scouts about Backpacking and Mountaineering skills and practices.
Camp Buffalo Bill
Yellowstone National Park
Camp Buffalo Bill lies seven miles east of Yellowstone National Park in the Shoshone National Forest and has provided a quality summer camp experience for scouts from across the country since 1949.
The camp is ideal for troops wishing to have both a Scout camp experience and tour the nation's first national park. Camp Buffalo Bill is also the home of the Yellowstone High Adventure Outpost, a high adventure program where scouts can participate in one of four core areas: Trek, Climbing, Paddlesports, and Winter.
Popular High Adventure Tours
High Adventure provides older youth a unique setting to learn about their world and society. Many boys learn and grow more by doing things hands on in the outdoors.
This BSA High Adventure program is a week long backcountry expedition through Wyoming's beautiful backcountry and is operated by Camp New Fork of the BSA Trapper Trails Council.
Nothing says high adventure more than loading your team or crew into canoes, then submitting to the power of a raging river! Popular river activities include fishing, swimming, swamping, water fights and wildlife viewing.
More National Park Tours
Great nearby recreational activities include famous ski resorts, fishing, whitewater rafting, hunting, sightseeing at national parks, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and horseback riding.
There are over 1,000 miles of safe, well-marked backcountry trails in the park. Many ranger/naturalist conducted hikes help you to enjoy these.
Grand Tetons Tour
The Grand Tetons are tall sharp peaks created by fault-block action. The mountains and valley show abundant evidence of glacial activity.
What makes these peaks so inspiring is their lack of foothills which usually obscure the view. These peaks rise steeply some 5000 to 8000 feet from the valley floor. They consist primarily of granite rock.

NOTE: Most youth camps are available year around to all youth groups and family activities regardless of affiliation. In fact many want your business to support their core operations.
Another popular demand for many Boy Scout High Adventure Treks. Probably the single most amazing geological wonder in the world - over 3 million people come each year to view the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River. An abyss more than one mile deep, from four to eighteen miles wide and over 150 miles long in bright desert colors. You will not be disappointed by its immense beauty.
