A popular half day attraction Gatorland is a 110-acre alligator theme park and wildlife preserve.
Known internationally as the Alligator Capital of the World.
Since 1949, Gatorland has delivered an incredible display of huge alligators and crocodiles, train ride, aviary,
breeding marsh and bird sanctuary, petting zoo, nature walk, gift shop, and one-of-a-kind shows such as the
world famous Gator Jumparoo.
Gatorland Express Railroad
A regular feature since 1965, the railroad provides a na guided tour to many
areas of the park.
Gatorland Swamp Walk
Take a self-guided tour through an unspoiled native Cypress Swamp on a raised wooden walkway.
Located at the southern end of the park, these wetlands are an actual park of the Everglades headwaters.
A completely natural attraction, Gatorland's Swamp Walk boasts no special enclosures or exotic wildlife,
only those natural plants and animals that inhabit this unique ecosystem.
Gatorland's Flamingo Lagoon
Home to a small colony of American Flamingos.
Characterized by it's long thin legs, flexible neck, and bright pink coloration,
flamingos are also known as "firebirds" and
can reach a height of 5 feet and may live over 40 years in captivity.
Lilly's Pad Splash Zone
Cool jets of water for children of all ages, a playground area complete with slides and
play towers.
Shell Shack
Home to Gatorland's pair of Aldabran Tortoises, native to the Aldabra Islands in the Indian Ocean.
These gentle giants are amongst the largest tortoises in the world, and can weigh over 500 lbs.
Snakes of Florida exhibit
Florida is home to several species of venemous snakes, most of which you can see within the
Snakes of Florida exhibit at Gatorland.
Very Merry Aviary
Get up close to these colorful and friendly Lorikeets native to the Western Pacific and East Indies area.
Open several times daily during regularly scheduled feeding times, visitors can
enter the Aviary for a more intimate experience with the birds.
Allie's Barnyard
Find all sorts of cute and cuddly barnyard critters, from chickens and ducks to deer,
sheep, and goats, all playful and looking for a little attention.

Tour Alligator Island
Alligator Island
Located in the northern section of Gatorland's "Gator Lake", Alligator Island is home to hundreds of
the biggest reptiles in the park. A great opportunity to see these creatures upclose, watch for
thier 1000 pound giant American Crocodile named Alf.
During breeding season, several female alligators will also make their nests on the island.
Waterfowl
Besides alligators, this park is also home to several species of native Florida Birds.
Greater Egret, Snowy Egret, and Florida Grackals make their nests here.
Bat House
Several thousand Mexican Free-Tail Bats live in a specially designed "bat house" on the island.
Only venturing out at night, the bats consume vast quantities of insects
before returning to their "bat house" to sleep during the day.

The 10 acre Gatorland Breeding Marsh contains 130 adult alligators... 100 females and 30 males.

Bird Rookery
The Breeding Marsh is also a haven for several different species of Florida's birds,
such as Herons, Egrets, Cormorants, Anhingas, Ibis, and Storks.
