California Whale Watching Tours : Jan-Mar
From January through March, some 28,000 Pacific Gray Whales make their annual migration up along the coast to their summer Alaska feeding grounds. During the summer Blue and Humpback Whales also come to visit the local waters delighting visitors with upclose encounters.

Santa Anita Breeders Cup - Oct 25
One of the most famous horse racing venues in the country. Since its opening in 1934 the track has grown to be considered the best in wintertime horse racing in the United States and around the world. The 20th running of the Breeders' Cup, consisting of eight races with purses and awards totaling $13 million, will be run next year on Saturday, October 25, and will be televised live by NBC Sports. Sponsored by the Oak Tree Racing Association.
