The Knott's family originally settled this area to run a large berry farm. They fortunes rose quickly after
crossing blackberries and raspberries to create a new boysenberry that became quite popular. They then opened a major
chicken restaurant.
In 1949 they started hosting a stagecoach ride to entertain guests to the marketplace. Other rides and attractions
were eventually added and shaped into the big amusement complex you see today. Major theme areas include :

Knott's Christmas Crafts Village
Each year beginning Thanksgiving Day and continuing through Christmas Eve, Knott's turns its historic Ghost Town into an enchanted 1880s
Victorian shopping village brimming with strolling carolers, community choirs, brass bands and dozens of artisans and crafts folk selling their one-of-a-kind wares.
Kids can visit with Santa in his workshop and munch on treats in Mrs. Claus' Kitchen.
Camp Spooky
Knott's Annual non-scare celebration of Halloween cheer rather than fear located throughout our six-acre Camp Snoopy.
This daytime trick-or-treating event with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang features costume contests, special live entertainment, seasonal
games and hands on activities. All Camp Spooky activities are included with regular park admission.
Knott's Halloween Haunt
It's the annual park-wide monster bash you don't want to miss. Knott's annual park-wide spooktacular remains the World's First and Biggest Halloween
Theme Park Event and the "Scariest Place on Earth".

GhostRider - Giant Roller Coaster
Looming 118 feet over historic Ghost Town, GhostRider is the single-largest attraction in park history and one of the
longest and tallest wooden roller coasters in the world. Brave riders enter a mysterious mine, only to be strapped into
gold, silver and copper mining cars and sent along 4,533 feet of twisting, unforgiving timber.
Silver Bullet - High-Speed Coaster
Knott's newest addition (2005) is this high speed twisting, turning and looping steel monster.
Supreme Scream - Super Drop
This is that supertall vertical tower on the far north side of the park. I'll let you guess how fast and far that
basket or riders is about to drop.
Jaguar! - The Big Cat of Roller Coasters

Perilous Plunge - Just 34 feet shorter than mighty Niagara Falls, Knott's water thrill ride in the Boardwalk themed area sends boats down a world-record 115-foot water chute at a revolutionary 75-degree angle -- just 15 degrees from sheer vertical. Be prepared to get soaked on this exhilarating plunge!
Supreme Scream - One of the world's tallest, most radical thrill adventures. In seconds, you're propelled straight up, 254 feet in midair.
Boomerang - Roller-coaster runs you thru six loops in less than 1 minute! Then does the whole trip backwards.

Knott's Wild West Stunt Show - Wagon Camp Theater
Absolute must for the kids who need to see an old western gunfight and full contact stunt show.
Arrive early and get a comfortable seat in one of the wagons around the perimeter.
Large outdoor theater is located just inside the main entrance.
Birdcage Theater - Ghost Town
In the heart of Ghost Town is this genuine saloon theater with some overdone melodramatic comedy.
Travelin' Medicine Man - Ghost Town
You might have to search a big diligently around Ghost Town to find where this
kooky character has parked his wagon and is preparing to hawk his latest collection of
goofy formulas.
Camp Snoopy Theater -
Great for little tykes who idolize Snoopy, Charlie Brown and all of the Peanuts Gang.
Independence Hall -
An exact replica of the real thing, shows are held daily bringing this bit of history to life.
Mystery Lodge - Near Big Foot Rapids
I didn't get to make in during my last visit, so I guess what show they feature here is still a mystery.
Calico Square - Near Railroad Station
Venue for special concert and community showcase performances.

Despite years of bandit hold-ups, the world's last narrow-gauge steam train still departs daily from Ghost Town
