Surf City USA Marathon [FEB]
Formerly the Pacific Shoreline Marathon runs on Super Bowl Sunday Morning -
This exclusive oceanfront course is a classic California Dream. Run by the Huntington Beach pier and wind through the famed surfing beaches of Southern California.
Retro surf bands entertain along the way and the Finish Line Festival includes a beach side beer garden in the California sun. Finishers receive bodacious surfboard medals!
Buffalo Run Half Marathon - Catalina Island [FEB]

Very challenging, hilly course on the East End of Catalina Island. Approximate 8 mile climb in dirt fire roads until the descent back into Avalon.
This half marathon course takes you from sea level to a 1600 foot elevation then returns to sea level. Spectacular views of San Clemente Island and Avalon.
This race also features the popular flat and fast Pebbly Beach 5K course on the paved road out to Pebbly Beach.
Catalina Island Marathon - Catalina Island [MAR]

Runners World 2007 ranked this race as the #1 off-road marathon in the world.
Enjoy some of the most breathtaking scenery while running 26.2 miles over the Island of Catalina.
The race traverses mostly dirt trails and roads through areas of the interior of the Island where very few have gone. The race starts in Two Harbors and runs to Avalon.
It is a hilly, challenging Marathon, but worth every mile! Who knows, you may even run with some buffalos!
Los Angeles Marathon [MAR]
The first L.A. Marathon attracted 10,868 participants, making it the largest inaugural marathon in history.
The largest single-day sporting event east of the Pacific and west of the Mississippi.
Race features live entertainment and finish line festival.
Over 100,000 people gather annually in this area to enjoy music, food and the many sponsor exhibits offering a wide away of fun for the entire family.

This fall marathon starts on Shoreline Drive, pass the Pike at Shoreline Village over Queensway Bridge to the bow of the Queen Mary.
Circle the Aquarium of the Pacific, the Lighthouse and Rainbow Harbor and head down to the beach. Participate in one of America’s most scenic Marathons. It’s Fast, Flat and Fun.
Other events include weekend fitness expo and beach party finish line festival with live entertainment.
Catalina Island Triathlon [NOV]

One half mile. An out-and back swim in the calm blue waters of Avalon Bay, finishing adjacent to the pier.
16K bike course consists of three technical loops traveling through the heart of Avalon and past the golf course towards Wrigley Memorial.
A beautiful 3 mile out and back course past the Casino and up St. Catherine Way towards Hamilton Cove where mile 2 will present a challenging assent and descent as competitors climb from sea level to nearly 200 feet in a half mile stretch.
Los Angeles Triathlon [SEP]
The LA Triathlon features both an Olympic Course and Sprint Course for Amateurs / Professionals and Relay Teams.
Includes The Kaiser Permanente Thrive Health & Fitness Expo at the Marina Del Rey Marriott on the day before race day.
Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race - [AUG]
32-mile race from Catalina Island to Manhattan Beach Pier
The Catalina Classic dates back to 1955 and is recognized as the king of long distance paddleboard races.
The race begins at the west end of the island, at Two Harbors on the Isthmus, and stretches toward the shore at Palos Verdes,
making a left turn off the coast there and ending at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
