Located on two acres just south of Newport Beach is Orange County's largest cultural and educational research center for the study of the Pacific Southwest. On the grounds are some excellent gardens with over 2,000 native plant species, fountains, sculptures and koi pond.

Upper Newport Bay

Six diverse habitats are home to over 200 bird species and other wildlife. Canoe tours, and family campfire programs available.

City Hall Art Gallery

Newport Harbor Nautical Museum

Newport Beach Temple
Smaller temple dedicated August 2005 making it the sixth Mormon Temple completed in California. The Newport Beach temple features a 90 foot single spire and salisbury pink granite from North Carolina instead of the traditional white.

Local artists display their works each Sunday afternoon at the Cannery Wharf Park along 30th Street.

Corona del Mar
Enjoy small town charm at this place located just south of Newport Beach along Coast Highway. There are many gift and furnishing shops and a wide range of unique eateries. Corona del Mar is home to the beautiful Sherman Library and Gardens.

Fashion Island

Lido Marina Village

Mariners Mile
A strong nautical theme runs through this neighborhood of shops, galleries and many fine restaurants fronting the harbor. McFadden Square
Located on the oceanfront next to Newport Pier. Since 1889, professional buyers and chefs have come here to get the best pick of the freshest seafood. The action still happens today beginning at about 9AM daily.

Old Newport Boulevard
One of the oldest areas in Newport Beach, the boulevard features a delightful collage of architectural styles dating back to the 1920's and earlier. Today is is home to many shops, antique stores and restaurants.

Surf City USA Marathon [FEB]
Formerly the Pacific Shoreline Marathon runs on Super Bowl Sunday Morning - This exclusive oceanfront course is a classic California Dream. Run by the Huntington Beach pier and wind through the famed surfing beaches of Southern California. Retro surf bands entertain along the way and the Finish Line Festival includes a beach side beer garden in the California sun. Finishers receive bodacious surfboard medals!
