Located at the headquarters of NAMM (National Association of
Music Merchants) next to Legoland;
Exhibits date back to 1890 to trace this history of innovations in
popular music. Over rare 450 musical instruments on display in a 6,500 sq. ft.
exhibit space divided into five major themes. Research library and archives are also available. Their goal
is to preserve, exhibit and promote the history of the music products industry.

Enchanting 2.5 acre park located downtown at Beech and Garfield Streets.
Adjacent to Heritage Hall, a 1926 vintage town meeting hall and the Magee House.
Surrounding the museum are a variety of old fashion gardens that attempt to demonstrate Carlsbad's agricultural past.
All of the gardens are maintained through the combined volunteer efforts of the Arboretum Society, the Carlsbad Historical Society and the North Coastal Rose Group, as well as city staff.

Mission San Luis Rey de Francia - Oceanside CA
Known as the "King of Missions" - Mission San Luis Rey is the
largest of the California missions and a national landmark. Franciscan friars at the mission
conduct regular tours. This church still holds regular worship services and hosts special
functions during the week.
Mission San Antonio de Pala - Pala CA

San Antonio de Pala was a sub-mission of Mission San Luis Rey de Francia. It was established in 1816.

The Ranch House Complex - Camp Pendleton
Tours are booked for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. between the last week in September to the end of May.
Historic Home of Governor Pio Pico, includes the Ranch House Chapel, the oldest structure on the base,
the Bunkhouse Museum, dedicated in 1965 by Col James Roosevelt,
and the Ranch House, built in the mid 1800s. It was the home of Pio Pico, last Mexican governor of California, and succeeding
owners Don Juan Forster, the O'Neills, Floods, Baumgartners and, finally, the United States Government.
The historic Ranch House, Museum and Chapel are listed as a National Historic Site.

Quail Botanical Gardens
The only botanical garden in San Diego County, this park has one of the world's most

San Dieguito River Park
Partially completed Coast-to-Crest wilderness trail follows the path of the San Dieguito Rivier.
The Park will someday extend from the ocean at Del Mar to Volcan Mountain, just north of Julian
and may even connect with the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park just beyond.
It will wind past Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, Escondido, Lake Hodges and Lake Sutherland.
