Mount Wilson Observatory
Public viewing through the 60-inch telescope is available to individuals and groups. The Hooker 100-inch telescope can be seen from the Visitors' Gallery inside the dome and there is a small astronomical museum on the observatory grounds. During the first half of the twentieth century Mt. Wilson was successively home to the world’s two largest telescopes as well as the most powerful facilities in existence for studying the sun.

Founded in 1973 by a group of individuals who were committed to collecting and preserving the rich history of the community of Burbank.
Incorporated in 1975, the Society operates the Gordon R. Howard Museum which includes an 1887 Victorian house, a memorabilia building including
a Lockheed Aviation display and other historical artifacts, a vintage vehicle building, a salon and the Ray Sence addition in which 19th century era rooms are shown.
