This park is administered by the U.S. National Park Service. It is based around Lake Powell in Southern Utah. It is the second largest man-made lake in the western hemisphere. Great opportunities in fishing, hiking, boating, water-skiing, camping. Lake Powell feature four marinas.

This 186-mile long lake passes gorgeous red cliffs and reaches into many sandy inlets and hidden canyons. Many marinas, campsites, and houseboat rentals are available.

Glen Canyon Dam

Very large dam (and one of the highest in the US) impounds the Colorado River, forming Lake Powell and generating hydroelectric power for the west. The dam was completed in 1966 and it took 17 years for the lake to completely fill for the first time.

Capitol Reef National Park - Borders the northern edge of Lake Powell.
Rainbow Bridge National Monument - Located within park boundaries.

Dark Canyon Wilderness Area - Manti-La Sal NF
This Wilderness Area in Southeastern Utah is a unique and colorful canyon system. Dark Canyon begins on Elk Ridge at an elevation of 8800 feet. The canyon cuts through sandstone and limestone descending to the upper reaches of Lake Powell at an elevation of 3700 feet.
