The Museum, now open in its final home, the Frederick County Courthouse, tells the history of the war where over
600,000 Americans died. Exhibits look at the daily life of the soldier, major advances in battlefield technology, and the many
splendid uniforms from the North and South that reflected the deep commitment the troops felt to their respective cause.
Stonewall Jackson’s Museum at Hupp's Hill

Part of an estate established by George F. Hupp in the 1750s, Hupps Hill commands breathtaking views of Strasburg, the Shenandoah Valley and Massanutten Mountain.
The hill and the manor house to the south were used by contending forces throughout the Civil War. Relict Confederate entrenchments and Federal gun positions can still be seen on the grounds.
George Washington’s Office Museum

The center room of George Washington's Office Museum was used by Colonel George Washington, commander of the
Virginia Regiment, as an office between September, 1755 and December, 1756 while he was building Fort Loudoun.
The fort, located just north of downtown Winchester, was the largest of the series of forts Colonel Washington was building
from the Potomac River to the North Carolina border to protect the colony of Virginia from Indian raids during the French and Indian War.
Kurtz Cultural Center
The Kurtz serves the Winchester community through its Old Town Welcome Center, Civil War Information Center, Gift Shop, Walking Tours and exhibition galleries.
Patsy Cline Exhibit - Winchester is Patsy Cline's home town and at this exhibit you will see many personal items and other items dealing with Winchester's famous singing star.
The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum
A wide variety of activities and special programs is offered in an interactive setting.
Exhibits include simple machines; puzzles, games and brain teasers; live specimens in a natural history center;
a climbing wall; an emergency clinic; and an art room.
