Scout Camp Olympic Peninsula Camp Parsons [CSC]
    Hood Canal / Olympic Peninsula

Camp Parsons was founded in 1919, making it the oldest scout camp in the Pacific Northwest. It sits on Jackson Cove, part of the Hood Canal, on the Olympic Peninsula, just north of Brinnon, Washington.

Thousands of Scouts from the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States and Canada attend camp each summer. A unique feature is the salt water beach used for all its aquatics activities.

High Adventure Base Olympic Peninsula High Adventure Activities
Camp Parsons can launch your group on the following high adventures.

    1. Olympic Peninsula Backpacking Treks: Camp Parsons is located near some of the best hiking trails on the Olympic Peninsula. Del Monte Ridge, Sunnybrook Meadows and many other landmarks were named for or by members of the Camp Parsons Staff. Depending on the hike your group chooses you could be hiking anywhere from 35 to 50 miles in 5 days. There will be opportunities for day hikes, fishing and off trail hikes from an established base camp, depending on the skill of the group. The hikemaster who accompanies the group is an experienced staff member knowledgeable of the Olympic Peninsula. Instruction will be given on light and low impact camping. This truly is a great experience.
    2. Hood Canal Kayak Treks: Camp Parsons is one of only a handful of Boy Scout camps operating a saltwater aquatics program. Our home on the Hood Canal provides outstanding canoe or kayak treks to many points on the Canal. Your trek begins and ends at camp and will cover roughly 50 miles, but this can be increased depending on the skill of the group.
